Pre-application public consultation events
This page provides information on public events that will give members of the local community a chance to comment on current University projects, along with contact details for the project managers that can also be used to find out more or to comment.

Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (Scotland) Regulations 2013 (Regulation 7(2) (b))
“Conservation of the former Madras College building to form new academic college including restoration and works to the listed building, and new build development including public realm, landscaping and associated works” at the former Madras College, South Street, St Andrews, KY16 9EJ.
A public consultation event will be held in Lower College Hall at the University of St Andrews, St Salvator’s Quadrangle, North Street, St Andrews, KY16 9AL where the project team will be available to answer questions. This event will take place on Wednesday 27 November 2024 between 3pm and 7pm. Consultation boards will be available to view on this webpage on the day of the consultation.
A second public consultation event will be held at Lower College Hall, University of St Andrews, St Salvator’s Quadrangle, North Street, St Andrews, KY16 9AL where the project team will be available to answer further questions and to provide feedback on the proposals. This event will take place on Wednesday 15 January 2025 between 3pm and 7pm. Consultation boards will be available on this webpage on the day of the consultation.

Comments can be made to the Applicant at the public event or through a feedback form. Comments are invited until Friday 20 December 2024. There will be a feedback event in January 2025.
Please note that all comments are to the University of St Andrews as the Applicant and are not representations to the planning authority. There will be an opportunity to make representations to Fife Council when an application for planning permission is submitted.

A public consultation event will be held at the New Technology Centre, Pines Street, North Haugh Campus, University of St Andrews, St Andrews, KY16 9SR where the project team will be available to answer questions. This event will take place on Thursday 7 November 2024 between 3.30pm and 7.30pm. Consultation boards are available below.
A second public consultation event will be held at the Rector’s Café, Student Union Building, 4 St Marys Place, St Andrews, KY16 9UZ where the project team will be available to answer any further questions and to provide feedback on the proposals. This event will take place on Wednesday 11 December 2024 between 3pm and 7pm.
